I’ve reviewed several home gym exercise machines manufactured by Merax, including an indoor bike, weight bench, boxing power tower and power rack. Now, it is time to get a closer look at Merax electric folding treadmill. This fella has been on the market for some time and so far is getting excellent reviews. My job is to check if those reviews are legit.
I don’t think that Merax needs a special introduction, they manufacture all kinds of fitness equipment and are holding the market for more than two decades now. So without further due, let’s dive into the treadmills features.

Is It Worth the Money?
First thing to note is the packaging and assembly. The treadmill is well packed, no damaged parts whatsoever. The instructions for assembly are quite clear and doable by one person. The assembly itself is easy.
Considering the price, one might expect a weaker frame construction. I’m pleased to say that online reviews are actually correct about this. The frame is indeed solid and feels pretty sturdy, no argument there.
Considering the 1.5HP motor, the Merax electric folding treadmill is not very load, unfortunately, I’m not sure with what could I compare it. Let’s say it’s less than average vacuum cleaner. The LCD display and the entire panel is made of plastic, which looks a bit cheap, but the functions do the job.
The tracking is pretty accurate (even the heart rate). The instant start and stop button are helpful, especially the ‘stop’ one in case of emergency. The pre-set 12 programs might come handy for most users as well.
Regarding the speed, I’m happy to say that speed changes are smooth, so it does not jerk you off the treadmill, which is the case with some cheaper models. 240 lbs support is pretty believe-able as well.
If you need to store it away every day, then in two minutes you can you can fold it and store it. The folded dimensions are 29.5 x 23.5 x 49inch (L x W x H). which is 74.9 x 59.7 x 124.5 cm.
