Whatever your particular reason may be, you’ll want to make sure the stationary bike you embrace is one that can offer a good workout and cycling experience. Such is the case with the VIGBODY HL-5230 indoor bike. It has a positive reputation among buyers of all kinds, and with good reason.
One of the first things you are bound to notice about this bike is the fact that it doesn’t look like an old-fashioned exercise bike. On the contrary, it features a more sparse, minimalist design that is intended to make users really lean into their exercises. On the one hand, this means that there is not necessarily as much support as you’ll find with other bikes.
On the other hand, however, this sparser design could be a welcome change for those looking for a more modern bike design.
As for the bike’s dimensions, it measures 46.1” x 25.2” x 44.1” and weighs 64 lbs. That is considerably lighter than other stationary bikes, and that more slimmed down, minimalist modern design may be a reason why.
It is nevertheless a very sturdy bike that can support up to 330 lbs, which is definitely on the high side for an exercise bike. On the flip side, its flywheel offers 24.2 lbs of resistance, which is a bit on the low side, but still more than enough to offer a solid workout.
From an aesthetic perspective, its red on black color scheme is eye-catching.
This bike makes it pretty easy to adjust the seat and handlebars. The former is set at a default height of 33.5” to 38.5” while the latter is set at 37.8” to 44”.
This makes it quite easy to get comfortable on the bike despite that lack of a back rest, which forces you to lean forward.
The bike comes with a knob that can change the level of resistance offered with a simple twist.
The pedals have straps that can help them stay in place while you are pedaling, which is a nice touch.
They are a bit on the looser side compared to other bikes. Left unchecked, this can make them a bit more susceptible to coming loose entirely. However, simply tightening them can usually resolve that.
In terms of noise, this isn’t the quietest bike on the market, nor is it the loudest. It is on the quieter side and should not be disruptive, just don’t expect the kind of whisper quiet that comes with magnetic drive bikes.
The VIGBODY HL-5230 Exercise Bike also comes with an LCD screen that can be used to track your workouts. This is becoming a more standard feature, and it is certainly welcome here. Having that LCD monitor allows you to keep track of your workout’s progress in real time.
You’ll get readouts on everything from the time you have spent pedaling to the speed you’re going to the amount of calories you have burned this session. Having this information can help you plan your workouts more accurately, thus, helping you achieve better results.
