All About Kaged Muscle Pre-Workout Supplements
This full-spectrum, fully-loaded formula is perfect, whether it's your first time taking a pre-workout or if you're simply looking for one with high-quality ingredients.
It's also ideal if you're trying to avoid hardcore supplements with ingredients that may or may not include banned substances or unreal quantities of caffeine.

Made in Idaho, they take their production process seriously, focusing heavily on pure/unaltered premium ingredients and rigorous testing.
This results in an effective dietary supplement that fuels intense workouts with laser-like mental focus, improved blood flow/pumps, and reduced mental fatigue.
My Experience Taking Kaged Muscle Pre-Workout
1. Flavor & Taste
Pre-Kaged has one of the widest selections of flavors of any pre-workout supplement on the market.
You have Berry Blast, Krisp Apple, Grape, Cherry Bomb, Pink Lemonade, Orange Krush, and Fruit Punch.
However, Fruit Punch seems to be getting phased out as it's the only flavor with consistently poor ratings.
However, the other flavors are simply incredible! It's actually difficult to find a pre-workout that tastes as good, and that's with a mere 1 gram of sugar!
I tried the Krisp Apple flavor, which straight-up tasted like apple cider! After your workout, you may just want to head out and go pick pumpkins.
Also, while I haven't tried it myself, I've heard from many others that the Pink Lemonade tastes like something you'd wash down a corn dog at the state fair with.
It's not too sweet but definitely more on the sweet side than sour - something that is different than most lemonade flavors on the market.
Grape may be the best flavor of them all, and I have tried it once. While I personally love the Krisp Apple, Grape is the one that most people seem to love.
It has a rich, authentic taste that doesn’t make you feel grossed out or like you’re just chugging a science experiment full of artificial flavors.
If you don’t know which flavor to get, I’d highly recommend going with either of these.
One thing I do have to complain about is its mixability.
This is a supplement that absolutely requires a shaker bottle to mix it to an acceptable consistency - if you’re hoping to just stir it with a spoon, you’re going to end up with little chunks.
However, while it does take a bit more effort, it’s likely due to the pure key ingredients that aren’t naturally very soluble.
All in all, it’s not really a big deal but something that could be improved upon.
2. Performance Increase
Do you ever feel like you're dragging and really have to talk yourself into going to the gym? Of course, we all do! What if I told you, you never have to worry about that again?
After drinking Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged, you'd probably be more uncomfortable if you just sat around.
With this stuff flowing through your veins, you're going to feel like you have to be active or do something like lift a car.
This effective pre-workout offers a beautiful experience of feeling like you’re a superhuman, blowing through every set with smoothness and ease.
Exercise performance shoots through the roof, and you may even have to convince yourself to leave the gym.
3. Pump
We all know muscle pumps are some of the best things about lifting weights. When taking Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged, you can expect bulging muscles, shredded striations, and veins galore.
On that last rep, it feels like your skin may just not be able to hold the pump in!
4. Focus
The increased mental focus that Pre-Kaged pre-workout offers is one of the best features, in my opinion.
Sometimes it feels like you're just going through the motions, or distracted by everything from the music on the gym's sound system to the text on the guy's stringer in front of you.
Thanks to the Neuro Focus Matrix, it feels like your body and mind are truly in tune with one another.
The mental clarity that it provides is so pleasant; it makes working out almost feel like some kind of therapy.
Not to mention, it seems to boost reflexes/response time and improve overall exercise performance and mental performance.
5. Energy
It’s no secret that Pre-Kaged helps boost energy, but this is something most pre-workouts are capable of doing. However, what sets Pre-Kaged apart from others is that it offers clean energy.
Rather than getting your heart racing and making you feel uneasy/shaky, you simply feel motivated and ready to take on the world - or the squat rack.
While it is relatively high in caffeine (274 grams per scoop), I didn’t feel an energy crash like I do with so many other pre-workouts.
Muscle fatigue seemed to be suppressed, and I was loving the increase in endurance performance that made me feel like my workout could just go on and on.
6. Side Effects
Of course, no pre-workout supplement is perfect, and there are some side effects you should be aware of.
Even if you've taken all the pre-workouts in the world, I recommend starting out with half of a scoop on this one for the first few workouts.
The reason being some people have had upset stomachs if they go in straight for the entire one scoop, especially if taking on an empty stomach.
Everybody is different, and while you may be used to common pre-workout ingredients, Pre-Kaged is a great formula with science-backed ingredients that your stomach may be surprised by.
I did experience a bit of the famous beta-alanine itch the first couple of times I took Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged, but my body soon got used to it.
While adverse reactions occur with any supplement, it seems to happen much less with this one.

7. Post-Workout
As I mentioned briefly earlier in this review, I didn't experience any crash afterward - nor has anyone else I've spoken with.
If you are sensitive to stimulants, again, I recommend starting out with half a scoop and seeing how you feel.
This goes double if you work out at night, as you don't want it to keep you awake while you're trying to sleep.

8. Cost & Availability
For a great pre-workout of this quality, you will be paying a premium price. Depending on where you purchase Pre-Kaged, you can expect to pay anywhere from $1.75 to $2.00 per serving.
Each jug contains 20 servings, which are supposed to last you a month, considering you workout 5 times a week and there are 4 weeks in a month.

Cons
Kaged Muscle Pre-Workout Ingredients (Nutritional Facts)
Besides massive amounts of B vitamins, Pre Kaged is packed full of ingredients that will boost your next workout.
L-Citrulline – 6.5g
6.5g is supposed to be the daily intake for most of us, which is great.
This ingredient helps with nitric oxide production, increasing blood flow, oxygen supply and improving cardiovascular health.
Not only that, it increases energy production and boosting overall endurance performance.
BCAAs (2:1:1) – 3.5g
Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) are crucial in helping muscle recovery and helping put on or keep muscle mass.
This doesn’t mean you’re going to be Arnold from taking BCAAs, but they do help keep you lean.
L-Leucine – 3g
This amino acid helps trigger protein synthesis, also promoting muscle recovery and the growth of new muscle.[1]
BetaPower Betaine – 2.5g
Helping with cellular hydration of muscles, it keeps you going for longer workouts and intense exercise. You may find that you’re even able to do more reps or complete reps where you may have maxed out before.
CarnoSyn Beta Alanine – 1.6g
Also, a key ingredient in improving muscle recovery is this ingredient, which reduces lactic acid buildup that gives you a sore muscle feeling in the first place. Beta-alanine can cause a bit of an itchy feeling, but most see that go away after the first few times taking it.
Creatine HCL
Creatine hydrochloride helps muscles produce more energy and create more explosive reps and movements. For example, you may be able to jump higher, push more weight on the leg press, or move quicker.
The Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged formula boasts a patented creatine HCL for optimum results. Creatine is also known to help with muscle growth.[2]
Coconut Water Powder – 500 Mg
It was cool to see they added in coconut water powder to Pre-Kaged to help ensure you’re properly hydrated.[3]
As you may know, you’ll require not only water for good hydration but electrolytes as well.
SPECTRA Total ORAC Blend – 100 Mg
This full-spectrum pre-workout features a 100-milligram blend of greens, including various concentrated vegetables and herbs like broccoli, spinach, turmeric, and oregano. Turmeric, in particular, is great for inflammation!
Taurine – 2 G
Taurine is another great pre-workout ingredient that helps with focus, supports nerve growth, and can calm the nervous system.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine – 1 G And L-Tyrosine – 850 Mg
When taken together, this Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged blend are proven ingredients that improve focus without being overwhelming or causing headaches, thanks to the solid dosage of 850 mg.
PurCaf Organic Caffeine- 274 Mg
If you're trying to limit your caffeine intake, the Kaged pre-workout is not for you. With 274mg of caffeine, it's the equivalent of drinking around 2.5 cups of coffee. Make sure that if you're taking medication or have a medical condition, it's okay to take with this quantity.
If you're looking for more caffeine, you can try Pre-Kaged Elite Pre-Workout. If you're looking for less, they also have a stim-free pre-workout.
Who Should Take Kaged Muscle Pre-Workout?
This premium pre-workout is fantastic for those looking to increase energy and endurance, with better muscle pumps and improved mental focus. Kaged Muscle Pre-Kaged works well for anyone serious about improving their body composition and power output or simply wants to get in a great workout reliably.
Not only that, but it's gluten-free, so if you have celiac, it's one of the only on the market that you can take safely.
Who Should Avoid Kaged Muscle Pre-Workout?
If you're trying to avoid high quantities of caffeine or work out right before bed, you'll probably want to avoid the original Pre-Kaged pre-workout. If you're on a tight budget, you may also want to avoid it as it's slightly more expensive per serving than most others. However, it's also a more premium product.
Pregnant women, those under the age of 18, and anyone taking other supplements should also check with a doctor before taking Pre-Kaged Pre-Workout.

How Does Kaged Muscle Stack Up Against Competitors?
Kaged Muscle Vs Transparent Labs BULK
Pre-Kaged pre-workout draws many similarities to BULK, specifically with ingredient transparency and using no artificial flavoring.
However, BULK does contain almost 100 mg less caffeine per serving and focuses heavily on making sure their consumers build more muscle and supporting testosterone levels.

Kaged Muscle Vs 4-Gauge
4-Gauge is an all-natural formula that also offers quality energy and great pump. In fact, in terms of "explosivity," I'd say they're quite similar.
However, 4-Gauge contains just 150mg of caffeine which is significantly less energy than what Kaged Muscle offers. Not only that, but they only have 1 flavor - Fruit Punch - which doesn't get the highest ratings.
