If you are on a hunt for a new indoor spin bike, then you might want to consider Goplus indoor cycling bike – the 40 lbs flywheel version. This is one of their newest and most heavy-duty bikes they currently offer. Considering the 40 lbs flywheel, it’s still quite affordable.
Goplus is one of the leaders in the home gym fitness industries. They make basically everything you can think of, from treadmills to power racks to power towers to spin bikes. In this review we will take a closer at their newest spin bike addition.
If I am to be honest, Goplus produces good quality merchandise, but considering specifically exercise bikes, their reviews are not greatest. But to be fair, they are also quite cheaper than most competition. In fact, this 40-lbs flywheel version is their best reviewed bike so far, so let’s see if they finally landed a winner.

Features of Goplus Indoor Cycling Bike
Min-Max Seat Height
Min-Max Handlebar Height
43.5''L ×18.5''W ×43.5''H
The bike features a heavy-duty steel frame with the weight capacity of 220 lbs (99.8 kg). Considering the competition, 220 lbs weight support is not really much, but let’s not judge the bike based solely on this feature.
As I have already mentioned, the bike comes with a 40-lbs flywheel, which is considered heavy-duty and is above-average in regard to home gym spin bikes. The diameter of the flywheel is 18 inches is used with a combination of chain drive system.
The pressure resistance system can be adjusted via a convenient tension knob, located between just below the handlebars. The resistance doesn’t have specific levels and can be adjusted basically infinitely, which means the bike is good for beginners and expert bikers alike.
The seat is fully 4-way adjustable, with the minimum height of 32.5”and maximum of 40”. The multi-grip handlebars are vertically adjustable with the minimum height of 37.5” and maximum of 40.5”.
The provided LCD let’s you monitor stats like speed, time distance, total distance and calories burned. The pedals are caged and made of aluminum alloy.
Other features worth mentioning are water bottle holder and transportation wheels, located at the front bottom base. The assembled dimensions of the Goplus indoor cycling bike are 42” (L) × 18.5″ (W) × 47″ (H) [106.7 x 47 x 119.4 cm].
One Person Assembly For the Win
The bike comes mostly pre-assembled and with the help of the provided instruction manual it shouldn’t take you more than 45 minutes. The tools are also provided, so you don’t have to use your own.
Once you have it assembled, I believe you will be pleasantly surprised how sturdy the bike is. The heavy-duty flywheel certainly adds to overall sturdiness. I don’t have a problem believing the bike can handle 220 lbs weight, although to be honest, this weight limit is relatively low. Most similarly priced spin bikes can support 280-330 lbs of weight.
Full Adjustability Goes a Long Way
The seat is 4-way adjustable, which makes it good for tall and small people alike. Combined with the handlebar adjustability even 6’2” guys can used the bike comfortable.
With that being said, if you are taller than that, I’d suggest checking that directly with the manufacturer, just to be on the safe side. Also the seat is quite narrow, since it’s a racing seat, but the good news is that you can replace it with a different one.
Unlike most of the same-priced spin bikes that use belt-driven system, this one uses chain system, which is usually louder. However, it appears that the chain system is very well designed, as it doesn’t make much noise. Unfortunately, I’m not able to compare it with exact decibels, as Goplus doesn’t have this information.
The LCD display is very basic and displays only one stat at a time – however, this is the case with 90% of affordable spin bikes.
Pros and Cons
While Goplus doesn’t produce the best spin bikes on the market, the 40-lbs flywheel version is definitely one of their top.
Is Goplus Indoor Cycling Bike Worth Your Money?
To put it simply and objectively, it depends. If you are above 220 lbs and 6’2” – then I’d suggest looking for an alternative. Otherwise, this is a great bike with a heavy-duty 40-lbs flywheel that will help you effectively burn calories. Also the price is great, considering what you are getting for it.
