The brand ATIVAFIT is no stranger in the fitness equipment industry. They make all kinds of equipment, including exercise bikes, adjustable dumbbells, half-ball balancers, gym bags and other stuff. Their upright exercise bike is one of the well-known, however, in this review we will take a closer look at its spin brother, the ATIVAFIT indoor cycling bike.
The bike is a great combination of affordability, modern design and quality features. It’s not a commercial-graded bike, but it still has a lot to offer, especially if you are not extremely demanding. Now let’s check out the features.
Features of ATIVAFIT Indoor Cycling Bike
The bike’s frame is made of sturdy steel and comes with a 35 lbs (15.9 kg) flywheel. It uses a magnetic resistance system (adjustable via a tension knob) with a combination of belt-driven system. The flywheel also uses pure wool for brake, which makes less noise and is generally more durable. According to ATIVAFIT, the bike supports 275 lbs (124.7 kg).
The ATIVAFIT indoor bike is fully-adjustable. The multi-grip handlebars are adjustable vertically and the padded seat can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. The manufacturer states that thanks to the adjustability the bike supports user height from 5’1” to 6’5”.
Next feature is the LCD monitor. It tracks all the important stats, like speed, distance, time, odometer and calories burned. It’s also quite modern in design and there is also a place for an IPAD, thanks to the conveniently located holder.
The pedals are pretty standard, coming with caged and anti-slip design.
Other remaining noteworthy features are water-bottle holder, which is included and also transportation wheels, located at the front bottom base of the bike, which makes the portability quite easy.
The bike’s empty weight is 83 lbs (37.6 kg), the return warranty is 12-months and parts replacement warranty is lifetime.
That concludes the features.
Quiet Run Goes a Long Way
I’m pleased to say that the assembly of the bike is quite easy. ATIVAFIT brand provides an instruction manual along with the bike and with it, the assembly should take approximately 30 minutes. With that being said, several users reported issues with assembly, because they skipped the instructions. I would suggest to read them even if you are a skilled engineer, because you know what they say: better be safe than sorry.
The ATIVAFIT indoor cycling bike is quite sturdy and while the 275 lbs weight support is believable, it’s really not that much. Most indoor spin bikes in this price range support 300-330 lbs of weight, although is fair to say that if you are around 270 lbs of weight, you might think of something 330-350 lbs+, just to be on the safe side. It’s always good to have some extra weight limit in reserve.
The combination of the magnetic resistance system and belt drive makes the bike really quiet. You can safely watch TV while exercising, or thanks to the tablet holder you can watch Netflix on it while pedaling. What a great time to be alive, isn’t it?
As mentioned in the features, the adjustability goes a long way. The 2-way adjustable handlebars have a multi-grip design, so you can also rest your elbows if you feel like it. The seat is 4-way adjustable (up, down, forward, backward) and has a comfortable, leather-based design. Good news is that if it won’t be comfortable for you, you can either put a pillow on it or simply replace it. Thanks to so many height settings, users up to 6’5” can use the bike comfortably.
One of the pros that I would like to point out here is the LCD display. Unlike most monitors in this price category, this one is very convenient to use with simple UI. I personally, find the design quite stylish as well.
The adjustable pedals are pretty standard, with caged and anti-skid design. Thanks to these qualities they fit most sneakers comfortably, but they would also be very uncomfortable for bare feet.
Well, I guess that’s all she wrote.
Pros and Cons
ATIVAFIT is looking good right now, but nothing is perfect, right?
Conclusion – Is ATIVAFIT Indoor Cycling Bike Worth It?
Our rating: 4.7 / 5
In short, as long as you do not mind the 275 lbs weight limit, the bike is a great choice. Coming with a sturdy construction, quiet magnetic resistance and belt drive and height limit of 6’5”, it’s really tough to beat in this price range.
If you would prefer something with similar features and price range, but with higher weight limit, I’d suggest checking out the spin bike made by pooboo.
