The display console is super easy to use and doesn't require you to be a tech wiz. The buttons are clear and pleasant to use, while the display is bright and easy to read.  

When it comes to tech that you can link up to your display, the built-in Bluetooth allows you to connect any smart device such as your tablet or phone to the ProForm 750R rower and sync up your machine to the iFit app. You’ll also be able to connect any smartwatch/fitness tracker to your rowing machine and heart rate monitoring straps.  

However, one thing that I’d like to see is an integrated smart screen. It may be too much to ask as it’s a mid-range rower, but it would be fantastic if they added this going forward.

The ProForm 750R rowing machine sits mid-range when it comes to price and will set you back around $600, which I think is a bargain for what you’re getting, especially when you factor in the free iFit membership.  

This rowing machine is best suited for someone who doesn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a rowing machine but also doesn’t want to buy a cheap option like the ProForm 440R (which I’ll discuss further down the article).  

When it comes to the warranty of the ProForm 750R, it comes with a 10-year frame warranty and a 1-year parts & labor warranty. While the 10-year frame warranty is brilliant, I feel like the 1-year parts and labor could be longer.  

Comparing The 750R With Other ProForm Rowers 

Proform 750R Vs 550R

ProForm is an excellent producer of fitness equipment and has a fantastic range of rowing machines. Both the 750R and the 550R have a slick-looking compact design that can be folded away at a moment's notice and stored easily. This makes them both ideal solutions for those of you who’re space conscious.  

However, the 550R lacks a tablet holder, and I feel that the LCD screen is slightly dated compared to the 750R and its LED screen with an integrated tablet holder. The 550R also lacks Bluetooth and can’t be directly linked to the iFit app or your fitness trackers, which is a shame.  

Overall, there isn’t too much of a price difference between the two rowers (approx $200); if you can stretch your budget and buy the 750R, you’ll be getting much more for your money. 

Proform 750R Vs 440R 

When I look at the 440R compared to the 750R, the ProForm 750R is miles ahead in terms of quality and features. The 440R lacks smart functionality, and the screen is extremely basic in comparison to the 750R.  

However, the 440R will cost you around $300, which is 50% of the price of the 750R, so if you’re on a tight budget and need a rowing machine in your home gym, then the 440R is an excellent choice of rowing machine.  

One thing I love about the 440R is that it doubles up as a resistance machine, too, so you can use it for exercises like bicep curls, tricep extension, cable woodchop, and more.  

Comparisons With Other Rowing Machine Brands 

Proform 750R Vs Concept2 Model D 

The 750R and Concept2 are excellent rowing machines for your home gym. But, the Model D will set you back around $900, which is $300 more than the 750R. 

Both the ProForm 750R and the Concept2 can be stored compactly. The 750R folds together and is extremely easy to move, while the Concept2 separates into two parts which is an eyesore, in my opinion.  

Proform 750R Vs Schwinn Crewmaster 

The Schwinn Crewmaster is a compact rowing machine with an excellent seat and handle design; both make this rower comfortable to use.  

However, for a rowing machine that costs $500, I’d like to see more from the Crewmaster. It lacks any excellent features such as Bluetooth and smart capability and is rather basic. It’s also incredibly short, so unlike the 750R, it won’t be suitable for taller users.  

Proform 750R Vs Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5864 

Sunny Health has provided a different rowing machine; instead of using the standard rowing handle with belt feed, they have lever arms for a more authentic rowing boat feeling.  

However, I can’t help but feel the saying “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” comes to mind. If you want something a bit different for your home gym, then you’ll love Sunny Health’s rower. But, in comparison to the 750R, it’s not on the same level.
