It’s a big decision to buy a treadmill for home use – not only because they aren’t cheap, but also because they tend to take up a great deal of space. You may not have heard of the name Feier before, but that’s about to change.
I had the pleasure of trying out the Feier Star 100. Stick around for my review on every detail, to decide if this is the right treadmill for you.

It’s no secret that there are dozens of fitness brands trying to break into the US market, and when you look at the success of brand giants like ProForm and Peloton, it’s easy to see why.
When Feier asked me to review their debut treadmill, the Star 100, I had never heard of the brand before, and I didn’t know how to pronounce their name either. This seems to be a common thing about the brand, but the general consensus is that Feier = fire. Get it?
I had set aside most of my Saturday to get the treadmill up and running once it arrived, and I was thrilled to find that beyond general unboxing and unfolding, the Star 100 arrives entirely assembled and ready to go.
The controls are intuitive, and you can track your distance with either miles or kilometers. There are preset “shortcuts” for 6 km/h (3.7 mph) and 9km/h (5.6 mph). Then on the display, you can choose from four modes: normal, countdown distance, countdown time, and countdown calories.
If you’d rather follow a pre-programmed workout, you have 36 to choose from. They vary in speed and incline, but all 36 programs are 30 minutes in length and progressively get harder from 1 to 36.
Impressively, the Star 100 has an incline range of 0-12%. This is not a feature you will find on many other compact home treadmills. In fact, the commercial treadmill that I use for longer runs only has a 10% incline, so I was highly surprised by this feature.
The running belt was perfect for me, a 5’4” female. I was worried that my husband of 6 feet would find it too short for his stride length, but he didn’t have any complaints either.
I would say that the Feier Star 100 is a fantastic buy for anyone looking for a stow-able, quality treadmill for long walks and short runs. It obviously doesn’t have the nice shocks that higher-end treadmills have, but that’s not to be expected with a compact model and is a fair trade-off.
That said, if you’re training for a marathon and need to run long hours and have neighbors sharing a wall, you’ll likely want to invest in something larger with greater shock resistance.
The Star 100 does have some nice features that feel like an upgrade from standard treadmills, though, including Bluetooth connection, a wireless charging station, and automatic reminders when it’s time to lubricate your belt. They even include a small bottle of belt lubricant with your purchase, which is not common but highly desirable.
Overall, I rate the Feier Star 100 as a very suitable middle-of-the-road brand. It probably won’t catch up with the big fitness brands, but it’s far beyond most of the simpler brands on Amazon.
Shipping
The Feier Star 100 is currently only available to residents of the United States and Canada, and the good news is that shipping is free with your purchase. The not-so-good news is that the company works with various third-party shipping vendors, so your actual delivery may be hit or miss.
For delivery, I had to schedule a day and time with the third-party courier to bring the treadmill to my house. It was only upon arrival that the driver said that he was not allowed to deliver the box anywhere except the curb or on my driveway, so any help getting the box into my home was out of the question.
Since I live in the suburbs and have both a husband and a furniture dolly, this wasn’t a huge deal. If you live in an apartment, though, I would highly suggest going over these details with the courier ahead of time.
The box weighs approximately 165 pounds, and due to the nature of the treadmill shape, the weight is not evenly distributed, so just be careful.
Assembly
After reading a couple of reviews that mentioned that assembly “wasn’t too bad,” I was hopeful for a similar experience.
Let it be known that I was ecstatic when I opened the box and discovered that there is no assembly required at all. I’ll say it a little louder for the people in the back: NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED beyond finding the power cord and plugging it into the side of the machine.
To prepare your Feier Star 100 for use, you simply need to open the box completely and remove all of the foam inserts. Then you just lift the end of the machine and roll it to your desired location.
To unfold the treadmill, there is a simple foot pedal that folds out on the upper left side. You simply step down on the foot pedal until you hear a big click engage, and then lift the console up to lock into a standing position.
Tips From A Trainer!
If you have any lifting restrictions, you will want someone to help you with this step.
Aesthetics & Special Features
Looking at the Feier Star 100, it’s clear that it was designed after larger commercial models, like those from Peloton & NordicTrack. It has modern, clean lines, slim handrails, and an LED monitor to track your stats.
The console has plenty of room for all of your essentials, featuring two deep wells to hold your water bottles, mid-run snacks, and more.
Feier obviously realizes the importance of having our screens in front of our faces and accessible at all times. There is a design lip made to hold your iPad or phone at the perfect angle for watching a movie or streaming a treadmill class.
In addition, the Star 100 has a wireless phone charging station front-and-center. I’m not going to lie… it was the first feature I tested! And it works just great.
The edge that Feier has over more established brands is that they have included some luxury amenities that larger treadmills have, but in a way that is much more compact and apartment-friendly, which I’ll get into next.
Compact Design
Feier’s attention to detail with space-saving design is where this treadmill really shines. The Star 100 is one of the best compact treadmills for apartment use. It folds down almost entirely flat in seconds and can be easily stowed under a bed or upright parallel against a wall.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
While the treadmill feels very stable in the upright position and has foot extenders to help keep it that way, you should never store the treadmill in an upright position in a room where children or pets are present.
Price & Warranty
The Feier Star 100 is available directly from their website. [1] They have recently lowered the price from around $1600 to $1400. This is higher than other foldable treadmills with incline within the same brand category, but the company almost always has some sort of deal going on. At the time of this writing, they are offering an additional 25% off, which would be a saving of over $350.
While costlier than similar models, you have to take into consideration that shipping from the company is free, so that will offset the price a bit.
As far as warranty goes, it’s pretty standard. The Star 100 has a 12-month warranty on the frame and steel components and a 6-month warranty on all other components. The company also lists “Life Time Tech Support” under this category.
Features & Controls
Monitor
The monitor is not as advanced as those of more commercial brands. It does not have a touchscreen function, and it does not provide streaming content.
Still, it does have a beautiful, sleek design and provides all the standard stats, including time, distance, calories burned, current speed and incline, and (if you use the pulse touchpads) heart rate.
4 Training Modes
If you have a desired workout plan that you’ll be following, you can display any of these four training modes on your screen:
However, as a fitness expert, I can tell you that it is never a wise idea to work out without a safety clip. Overall, it’s a cheap feature of an otherwise nice treadmill.
36 Workout Programs
Any of Feier’s 36 workout programs can be paired with the four training modes listed above. The manual comes with a breakdown of each level’s speed transitions and inclines, but unfortunately they are only listed in kilometers, so my American brain is a bit lost. Hopefully this is an update that Feier will make in the future.
Just like a video game, level 1 is the easiest and the programs get progressively harder as you go up.
BMI Fat Test Method
The user manual outlines a sequence that can be done on the treadmill to help determine your body fat. You will need to input your age, height, and weight, and let the machine read your heartrate.
While I appreciate the option, I often find that these general inputs are not enough to correctly test your BMI, and you’re much better off working with a dietician or physician on this part.
