Developing The Best Fitness Routine

Coming up with a fitness routine is one of the best things that you can do. Why? In order to lose weight, burn fat, and gain muscle mass, you need to turn exercising into a habit. Once you have the best fitness routine down, you’ll know what you need to do every day that you’re in the gym.

You’ll also be able to watch your gains as they take place – either you’ll save a few minutes off of your mile time or end up progressively lifting heavier and heavier weights. Rather than follow standard gym workout routines, come up with one of your own. Here’s how!

Fitness Routine

Setting your goals should be easy. You just need to answer some questions, like: what do you want to accomplish? Do you want to be able to run a mile in less than ten minutes? Would you like to eventually lift something that weighs 100 pounds without hurting yourself?

Take the time to write down your goals before moving on to the other parts of your fitness routine. They’ll help you set the tone for everything else.

Where Are You At Now?

Now, for the next step, you need to be honest with yourself. Before you can come up with gym workout routines that can help you meet your goals, you need to think about where you’re currently at. Can you walk a mile in less than 20 minutes? Jog one in 15? Are you able to lift 20 pounds comfortably? Or 50?

Determine the difference between where you are now and what your goals are, and then set up a fitness routine that lasts for several months in order to help you progress. You don’t want to push yourself too hard, as that can lead to injury, so be honest about how long you think it will take.

Pick What You Want to do Each Day

While you could do the same fitness routine every day, this isn’t ideal. In order to truly build up your muscles and your stamina, you need some variation. This means that you might want to do cardio on certain days of the week and weightlifting on others while switching up the muscle groups that get a workout. Then, write down your plan and stick to it.

As you can see, coming up with the best fitness routine for you isn’t an impossible task. You just need to be honest with yourself and design a plan that allows for small gains, rather than large ones. Be patient and you’ll meet your goals!
